i've been bumped up a class in goethe, which can only be good because
a) i'm not bored to tears in class any more
b) i don't confuse my classmates any more with my anal questions

classes that end at 9.30 = a very tired melissa
with much homeworks to do.

1st. the father is and has been in hong kong.
when he called today i heard machinery in the background.
he said i sounded tired & that i should sleep
i thought he sounded worse but i didn't say so.
he's hated the job for a long time,
he's been 'leaving' since last year,
& they still won't let him go
because everything's coming apart in hong kong & they need someone to blame things on.
they're coming to take the car tomorrow.
i remarked that the father has worked for them for decades,
& that the least they could do would be to --
"life's like that," the mother said, & "you're too naive",
& if that's the case, i wish armegeddon would hurry along & wipe us all out
except maybe it doesn't think we're worth it.
you know. it's rare that i actually care so much it hurts a little.
i don't know what that says about me,
& i don't quite care.
2nd. i have been having much stress lately due to things like
di scripts, desk decor, double german, dysfunctional pcs, sosf.
& so i have been consuming chocolate in near-titanic quantities.
point = i have not been putting on weight.
i am 163 centimetres & 43 kilograms.
i don't know if i should be pleased at this because i certainly am not.
3rd. i don't know if this is a meme.
anyway i am going to list seven qualities in detail
about what i want in a perfect partner.
i am not in love & wish maybe i was because it seems to make life easier for lovers,
but anyway when i do fall in, it will hopefully be to someone like

b) the english-german dictionary.
this reminds me that i have a german placement test at goethe institute come wednesday morning,
something for which i am completely unprepared
& in which i am going to have a poor showing for the interview component
because i am sehr lousy at listening & speaking,
as my proficiency results show,
& seeing as i cannot even work out the lyrics to a song i know the english words to anyway.

on a new note, having obtained robin: flying solo
with my voucher, i was ein bisschen disappointed to discover it was tim drake.
yes, everyone loves drake, me included,

also, last wednesday carrie the tv series ended its run, if i'm not wrong.
it wasn't very good, but i was a little sad
because emilie de ravin (or someone who bears a strong resemblance)
was a terrific smirking blonde & bad chris hargenson.
oh well. the carrie wasn't very pretty anyway.

so, the internet is back,
& i am back here on my beloved ellejay.
what i have done in the past week:
- watched charlie & chocolate factory many, many times
- expanded playlist
- discovered be your own pet, the long blondes, clap your hands say yeah, the kinks, killcity, nine black alps, panic! at the disco, etc.
- wrote christmas cards at the rate of half a card a day
- panicked at not being able to finish christmas cards (still am, actually)
- read at kinokuniya
- sat around & ate, sang, & watched vcds with the pseudonym girls
- had a series of highly strange dreams (these mostly involved the pseudonym girls in various scenarios, including being given a lift to the mrt by a chinese woman who claimed to be johnny depp's wife & drove four SUVs, a christmas party at my house (which happened to be a castle) in which claire goh came as zorro & alyssa as the white rabbit, going to watch a franz ferdinand concert (the mother thoroughly ruined this one by waking me up before we even went in; i was highly annoyed), & one in which we sat around eating chocolate sauce while joelynn (who i barely know) gave us advice on boyfriends. how queer.)
- barbequed bananas with chocolate sauce, something done before by alyssa at this year's elds barbeque, i recall
- pranced around the house singing 'heroin is so passé, heroin is so passé...' in an effort to piss the sisters off, which worked
i probably did more, but i forget, so anyway.
